Meet the Instructor!

Master Instructor and Competition Coach – Adam Reed

Adam has 19 years of experience in Taekwondo and has trained across the nation with Olympic coaches and Collegiate Clubs. As a current Team Member for the AAU National Team – Adam trains daily to keep his fighting edge. He brings the same drive to every class to help students become the best versions of themselves they can be.

In addition to nearly two decades of martial arts experience, Coach Adam has a bachelors degree in Chemistry and two Masters degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Ohio State University. The same perseverance and drive he learned in martial arts was applied throughout all his schooling culminating in his Doctorate degree.

Over his time in taekwondo Adam has coached collegiate clubs, national sparring team members, and national form team members. He currently serves as a coach for THE Ohio State University TKD club in his free time. At Martial Arts Xtreme he wants to bring the next generation of athletes to the National Stage and prepare them for careers in Olympic Style TKD and collegiate level competition.

His personal advice for students – “Be consistent. Winner’s don’t happen overnight – they don’t even happen over a few months. The people that WIN are the ones that keep putting in the work every day and never give up. My favorite students are the ones that get back up every time they fall. Having that indomitable spirit opens so many doorways on and off the mat.”
